A partnership scheme between police forces in Northamptonshire and Cheshire has picked up a prestigious international award.
The scheme, which sees the two organisations share backroom resources, picked up a major award at the 15th SSON European Excellence Awards in Amsterdam.
Chief Constable Adrian Lee told Connect FM: “I’ m delighted the excellent work being done by MFSS has been recognised at these prestigious international awards.
” Northamptonshire Police were one of the first two forces that commenced this important project three years ago which has delivered efficiency savings in areas such as HR and accounts.
“This has enabled us better to protect our frontline services and at the same time allowed the force and the OPCC to explore and introduce more transformational ways of working in a challenging financial climate.”
Adam Simmonds, Police and Crime Commissioner, told Connect FM: “ It s tremendous to see this innovative project being acknowledged with such an important award.
“SSON s (Shared Services & Outsourcing Network) annual Shared Service Excellent Awards represents achievement at the highest level for shared service operations around the globe.”
