Pair threatened at knifepoint

Two men have been threatened at knifepoint during an attempted robbery in Northampton.

The incident happened on Booth Lane on Friday of last week.

A gang of around six men asked if they had a mobile phone and one punched one of the victims and produced the weapon but the pair managed to run off before anything was taken.

The offenders are described as white and in their late teens. One of them wore a black baseball cap and was carrying a bottle of spirits. Another was about 5ft 9in tall with an average build. He wore a black hooded raincoat.
