Cigarettes stolen from lorry parked in Finedon

Police are appealing for witnesses after cigarettes were stolen from a lorry parked in a layby on the A6, near Finedon, last Wednesday (24 June).

Sometime between 1.40pm and 3pm, the offender/s broke in to the back of the lorry and removed some of the stock. The theft was discovered a short time later when the driver stopped to make his delivery.

It was a busy time of day with a lot of passing traffic and officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the theft, or noticed anyone acting suspiciously, to contact police on 101.
