POLICE in Corby are appealing for witnesses following a fire at a house in Ripley Walk, in the early hours of Sunday (28 June).

At about 3am, a wheelie bin was set on fire, which then spread to a nearby building.

A 30-year-old woman jumped from the second floor window of the property to escape the fire. She suffered serious injuries as a result and is currently being treated in hospital.
