A man`s been jailed for eleven months after a high speed chase through Peterborough.
25 year old Drew Archer-Loader, of no fixed address, failed to stop for police in the Fletton area two days before Christmas last year.
Peterborough Crown Court heard he was driving at speeds of more than 70 miles per hour along roads where the limit was 30.
Archer-Loader suffered serious injuries when he lost control crashing into a ditch in Stanground and rolling onto the roof.
He received eight months for dangerous driving, plus three months for breach of a suspended sentence.
Additionally he was sentenced to four months to run concurrently, for driving while disqualified, and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
PC Craig Wheeler told Connect FM: “We will continue to target those who drive whilst disqualified and without insurance.
“This result should serve as a warning to those who do so, that you will be dealt with robustly.
“Drew Archer-Loader placed himself and other road users in serious danger. Thankfully, he did not kill or seriously injure anyone else.”
