Two women from Huntingdonshire have each been jailed for five years after they attacked an elderly man in his own home.
49 year old Carole Sharp of Priory Gardens in Huntingdon, and Maxine Crowe who`s 27 of Chelmer Close were arrested last year.
Peterborough Crown Court heard a row broke out after the 84 year old victim told Crowe she couldn`t stay at his house in Saint Ives.
Sharp then asked for a lift to Huntingdon but when the man refused again the pair attacked him.
Detective Constable Adam McCluskey told Connect FM: “These women took advantage of a vulnerable man and when they didn’t get their own way took to violence, causing lasting injuries to the victim.
“To do such awful things to an elderly man is horrific, I hope the sentences passed today bring some reassurance to the victim and his family that we will do all we can to protect the most vulnerable in our communities and ensure offenders are dealt with robustly.”
