Police are appealling for witness following a road traffic collision on the A14 in Northamptonshire.
The collision happened at junction 8 on the eastbound side of the carriageway near Kettering.
Police say a motorcyclist was travelling in lane three when he was hit from behind by a beige or brown-coloured 4×4 styled vehicle, possibly a Nissan.
The impact caused the motorcyclist to hit the central barrier before careering across all three lanes where the rider fell off his bike onto the nearside verge.
The 4×4 vehicle did not stop and continued eastbound on the A14.
The rider has sustained a broken right ankle/foot as a result of this collision.
Police are appealing for witnesses and help to identify the 4×4 vehicle involved.
