Police are appealing for witnesses after a road rage incident that happened on Tollgate Way, Duston, Northampton, outside Formula 1 Auto Centres, near to the little roundabout.

On Tuesday, 11 August, between 1pm and 1.30pm, a black Seat Leon and a white Iveco van were travelling on Tollgate Way, at the point where two lanes merge into one.

The Seat Leon moved ahead, while the white van mounted the curb on the left hand side. As the traffic stopped, the driver of the van, got out and punched the rear of the Seat Leon.

A further verbal altercation happened on the roundabout.

The driver of the van is described as white, about 5ft 8ins tall, of large build, between 30 and 35-years-old, short brown hair, stubble, and a tattoo of playing cards on the right side of his neck.

He was wearing a t-shirt and light coloured jogging bottoms.
