More than 80,000 people in the Connect FM area are at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

The condition is linked to obesity and unhealthy lifestyles.

The data, from Public Health England, is broken down by local authority for the first time ever.

In Peterborough, more than 16,000 are at risk.

In Northants, it’s over 64,000.

The information shows, from left to right, the name of local authority, the estimated number of people aged 16 and over who have non-diabetic hyperglycaemia, and the prevalence in paerts of the East of England and East Midlands.
