Two wanted after 'attempted murder'

Police are appealing for information in relation to an attempt murder at an address in Eyrescroft, Bretton, late on Tuesday evening (Tuesday, September 8).

The victim, a man in his 30s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital to be checked over.

Two men, believed to be involved in the incident, are still outstanding and police are asking for the public s help in locating them.

Detective Inspector Dan Pawson, investigating, told Connect FM: “I would like to reassure the local community that we believe this to be an isolated incident and there is not deemed to be any risk to the wider community.

“I am appealing to those who were in the area at the time of the incident and who may have seen or heard anything to contact us immediately. I believe someone in the local community knows why this happened.”
