It’s been revealed that one of the servers at Kettering General Hospital has been hacked.
Bosses at KGH says they’re investigating an allegation that it was used to redirect spam emails.
IT experts and the police have been brought in.
But, in a statement to Connect FM, the Trust says there’s no evidence any patient or staff informaiton has been accessed or compromised.
This is the full statement from a spokesman for Kettering General Hospital:
“The Trust is currently responding to an allegation of spam emailing being redirected through one of the Trust s external email servers. The Trust is responding appropriately and investigating the matter with the assistance of IT security specialists and the police.
“There is no evidence of patient or staff information being accessed or compromised. The investigation is continuing.”
