Part of building collapses in ram raid

Part of a building has collapsed after ram raiders used a JCB to try and steal a cash machine from a petrol forecourt near Peterborough.

Police were called to the Delph Service Station in Whittlesey shortly before three o’clock this morning.

Four men – all wearing black clothes – are thought to been involved along with several other vehicles – including two trucks and a forklift.

A red car – believed to be an Audi – was also seen heading off in the direction of Thorney.

The suspects didn’t manage to steal the ATM.

The fire service closed off the service station as it wasn’t safe.
