The developers of the Rushden Lakes scheme are to submit plans for major changes to the site.
They want to replace a garden centre with a 12 screen cinema, bowling alley and indoor climbing area.
The proposals are due to go on show to the public at the Town Hall next week.
It’s hoped building work will start in the summer of 2017 – if they’re approved by East Northamptonshire District Council.
Jon McCarthy of LxB Retail Properties told Connect FM: “When we first started talking to local people about Rushden Lakes a cinema was the one thing that came up time and again. We re really pleased that we have been able to respond to what residents told us and help making Rushden Lakes a truly unique destination.”
Work on the site is already well under way, with the site being prepared ready for construction to start early spring.
The public exhibition will be held at Rushden Town Hall in Rushden Hall Park at the following dates and times:
Thursday 8 October: 2pm 7pm
Friday 9 October: 9am 5pm
Saturday 10 October: 9am 2pm
