The grandmother and mother of a six-month-old baby, who was attacked by a pit bull and later died, have this morning attended Northampton Crown Court.
Susan Aucott, aged 55, of Alfred Street, Northampton, appeared before the judge, for a preliminary hearing, facing a charge of being the owner or person in charge of a dog, dangerously out of control, that caused injury to Molly-Mae Wotherspoon, resulting in her death.
Claire Riley, aged 23, of Far Cotton, Northampton, did not appear before the judge due to ill health.

Both Aucott and Riley, are set to appear at NCC for a plea and case management hearing on 17 December 2015.
