Armed robbers target taxi firm

Police in Northampton are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at Phoenix Class Ltd in Rothersthorpe Avenue, Northampton, in the early hours of Thursday.

Sometime between 12.30am and 12.50am, three men, who were armed with a spade and wearing ski-type masks, entered the premises. They restrained a member of staff and forced their way into an office, stealing keys and cash.

The men were all dressed in black clothing, with their faces covered and only their eyes visible. The men were described as all having a medium build and one of them was smaller than the other two. They spoke English but with no discernible accent.

Witnesses to the incident, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
