Government inspectors have rated Northamptonshire Police as requiring improvement.
A report by Her Majesty`s Inspectorate of Constabulary shows the force needs to improve how it uses its resources to meet demand.
Inspectors also said it has to do more to ensure that its workforce model is sustainable and affordable.
The findings also reveal it’s only partly prepared to face future financial challenges with plans beyond 2016 still in the early stages of development.
Meanwhile,Cambridgeshire Police has been arted ‘Good.’
The HMIC report shows the force is good at using its resources to meet its demand and has a workforce model that is sustainable and affordable and has shown good planning for the short and long term.
The findings also reveal the constabulary`s well prepared to face its future financial challenges and has plans in place to make all the expected savings needed through to 2019.
