Drinking crackdown launched

A consultation`s underway on plans by Corby Borough Council to crack down on anti-social drinking.

Following numerous complaints regarding alcohol related disorder and nuisance, Corby Borough Council is proposing PSPOs are introduced in accordance with section 59 of the Anti-social Behaviour Crime & Policing Act 2014.

The proposed area will include the Town Centre, the Boating Lake and Coronation Park, a map of the proposed area is available to view on the Council s website HERE

The PSPO is intended to deal with issues such as anti-social drinking in particular areas so that residents can use and enjoy public spaces, safe from anti-social behaviour.

These restrictions would be able to be enforced by a Police officer, PCSO and Council officers.
