Cancer boost at PCH

Cancer Services at Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have received a significant boost from Macmillan to develop well-being and survivorship services for patients living with, and beyond, cancer.

The charity has offered its support to a major initiative to design new support services to be based at the Robert Horrell Macmillan Centre, which is located within the grounds of the Peterborough City Hospital site.

In order to identify the types of services that would most benefit patients, an event was held at The Cresset in Bretton on 20 October for patients, carers, healthcare staff and those representing a wide range of voluntary and public organisations from across Peterborough and Stamford to put together their vision of the services that would create a brighter future for cancer survivors.
