Warning after string of mobile phone thefts

Cambridgeshire Police are urging people to be vigilant after a spate of mobile phone thefts.

The force has issued a number of safety tips.

Thieves have mainly targetted handbags or coats that have been left unattended.

Advice includes:

–        Use secure cloakrooms if the facility is available.

–        Don t leave bags or coats unattended.

–        Don t leave your mobile phones on display.

–        Be vigilant concerning personal security and space when dancing.

–        Make a note of your phone s IMEI number, as this will be required by police in the event you report your phone stolen/lost.

–        If possible install a phone tracking app.

–        Report any suspicious behaviour to a staff member.
