A teenager’s starting a six year prison sentence for robbing a group of people at knifepoint in Peterborough.
19 year old Bubacar Embalo from Manchester offered cannabis to three students with skateboards in Central Park.
The skateboarders, two teenage boys aged 17 and 18, and a girl aged 18, declined the offer.
However, Embalo returned 10 minutes later holding a knife and demanding their possessions, successfully taking mobile phones from two of the victims.
The court heard how Embalo said “this would never have happened if you had just bought the weed .
He denied all offences at Peterborough Crown Court, however, after hearing all the evidence, the jury unanimously found him guilty of all five charges.
He will not be eligible for parole for three years and, as he is a Portuguese national, Embalo will be deported after serving his sentence.
