Northamptonshire Police`s Chief Constable`s been involved in a drugs raid in the county.
Simon Edens joined officers earlier this week as they swooped on a house in Northampton and seized a quantity of substances.
The activity was originally based around concerns of possible child sexual exploitation, however this element was eradicated following excellent prevention work undertaken by the Safeguarding Proactive team.
In a separate raid, four people were arrested in Wellingborough on suspicion of violent offences.
One remains in custody.
Detective Sergeant Ash Turner, who led the operation. told Connect FM: “This once again demonstrates our commitment towards actively disrupting perpetrators of CSE, drug supply and violent crime, and sends out a positive message to the public that we are actively pursuing offenders involved in this type of criminality.
“Four more people were arrested in Wellingborough on suspicion of violent offences. One man remains in custody for questioning.”
