Schools across Northamptonshire have launched their Race To The Top projects in an effort to improve pupil performance and attainment levels.
The County Council funded strategy aims to raise educational standards and job prospects for young people by making £1 million available for school improvement projects over the next two years.
Twenty-two projects involving almost 100 schools have been awarded a share of the fund and these got underway in September.
Ferrers School is running masterclasses and transition projects with pupils at Higham Ferrers Junior School, South End Junior School and Whitefrairs Junior School to improve English, maths and science skills and ease their transition to secondary school.
