Cobblers hearing to be adjourned?

An administration petition, brought by Northampton Borough Council in connection with a loan it gave to the town’s football club, is set to be adjourned today.

The local authority wants to know what the Cobblers did with the £10.25 million it borrowed from them.

Yesterday, former Oxford United chairman Kelvin Thomas completed his takeover from Northampton Town chairman David Cardoza.

Thomas has also paid the full £166,000 owed to HM Revenue & Customs ahead of a winding-up petition hearing.
