Robbers target petrol station

Three men wearing balaclavas have held up a service station near Peterborough.

The trio targetted the Heron garage in Wansford just before 4-30 this morning.

They threatened a member of staff before stealing cash and fleeing.

Detective Constable Pete Wise told Connect FM: “Thankfully no one was injured during the incident, however the member of staff has been left very shaken by what happened.

“I would urge anyone who may know who is responsible for this to contact police immediately.”

It is believed the three men, described as white, two between 5 4 and 5 8 and the other about 6 2 , left in a red Vauxhall, possibly a Zafira, with a cash machine in the back.
