Man convicted of assault for spitting at paramedic

A man has been convicted of common assault after spitting at a an ambulance medic who was trying to help him during a call out in Peterborough.

City magistrates were told Algirdas Jasinevicus became abusive and aggressive after being found drunk in the street in October.

He’s been ordered to pay 475 pounds in fines and costs, including ¬£100 to his victim.
