Official figures show a teenager’s chances of going to university depend heavily on where they live.
UCAS research shows youngsters in the Connect FM area are around 30 percent more likely to have started a degree course this year than those living in the South West or North East.

- South East 31.8%
- North West 31.5%
- East of England 31%
- West Midlands 30%
- Yorkshire and the Humber 29.9%
- East Midlands 28.3%
