Temporary lighting installed to try to beat power problem

Temporary lighting`s being installed in a Peterborough street to try to address an underlying power problem.

A number of the lights on Bretton Way, between Junction 17 where the A47 meets Gresley Way, and Junction 58, Norburn roundabout, are out because of an underground cable fault.

The city council says investigation works have found the cabling has reached the end of its service life and is now irreparable.

Replacement work will start in the Spring at Junction 17 and the upgrade will take place in sections.
