Junior doctors strike

Health bosses in Northamptonshire, Peterborough & Cambridgeshire are urging people to help reduce pressure on NHS services during the strike by junior doctors.

They`re walking out for 24 hours from 8 this morning in an ongoing row with the Government about new contracts.

Officials say the industrial action will mean disruption to services at Kettering and Northampton General Hospitals, Peterborough City Hospital and others in the area, so the public are urged to only use A and E if it`s a real emergency.
