A Northamptonshire Police officer who has been jailed for life for murdering his wife is the subject of a disciplinary hearing at force headquarters today.
50 year old PC Adrian Goldsmith was convicted earlier this month of killing 49 year old Jill Goldsmith.
He won`t be at the hearing which came about following a misconduct investigation launched by the county`s constabulary.

The allegations are as follows:
On 29 January 2016 the officer was convicted by a jury at Staffordshire Crown Court of an offence of murder contrary to common law.
