Hooligan gets banning order

A man has been sentenced for throwing a smoke bomb onto Peterborough United s football pitch.

18 yera old Liam Fenton, of Watergall in Bretton, was arrested for possessing a firework/flare during the match against Shrewsbury Town on December 12 last year (2015.)

Peterborough Magistrates Court sentenced Fenton to a three-year football banning order and issued himn with a £200 fine.

The banning order prevents him from attending any football matches in the UK, as well as England matches abroad, for three years.

He will also be restricted from visiting specific areas of Peterborough during home games and going within five miles of the away matches.

He is also required to surrender his passport during Euro 2016.
