A secondary school in Corby has submitted plans to add a huge new wing to allow it to more than double its pupil numbers.
Corby Technical School plans include 17 new classrooms, seven new ICT suites, an open study area, activity and drama studios, a dining room extension, a changing room, two work rooms, two music practice rooms, a control room, four offices, toilets and storage.
The school has been hugely successful since first opening its doors in 2012. As part of the Brooke Weston stable, it was a pioneer of the Government’s free school programme.
It caters for pupils with a special interest in technical subjects including engineering, electronics and computer programming.
