Police were called today at approximately 12.15am to reports of a stabbing on Lincoln Road, Peterborough.

A man in his 20s has received serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to Peterborough District Hospital.

Six men were arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station where they remain.

A 45-year-old man from Wisbech was arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH.
A 24-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH.
A 25-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH.
A 20-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH.
A 21-year-old man from Corby was arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH.
A 21-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of assault  GBH.
