Appeal to find missing teenager & his mother

The Police and Northamptonshire Children s Services have for some time been trying to trace the whereabouts of Moses John, a boy aged 14, and his mother Pauline Watson, aged 46. Moses was previously living in Northamptonshire but may now be in London.

As an exceptional step and to demonstrate his concern for the wellbeing of Moses, Mr Justice Keehan, a judge of the Family Division of the High Court, proposes to make a public statement in open court in court 41 at the Royal Courts of Justice, London WC2 on the 23rd May 2016 seeking assistance from the media and any other persons or organisations which may be able to help trace the child as a matter of urgency.

The Judge s decision to make so public a statement of this type is thought to be without precedent and it has the approval of the President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby. It is seen also as an example of the prevailing wish of the family judges to make the public more aware of the workings of family justice and to make proceedings more transparent.
