Council agrees to resettle refugees

The city council has agreed to resettle 100 Syrian refugees in Peterborough.

The government announced last year that the UK will accept 20,000 refugees between now and 2020.

Now five families will resettle in the city every year for the next five years.  Family groups will typically be two adults and two children.

It’s expected that the first families will arrive this autumn.
