Reports of man harassing women

Police are appealing for witnesses following reports of harassment in Peterborough.

The incidents all happened along the footpath that leads from Asda in the city centre to the Woodston Ponds at the end of Wharf Road. They occurred between May 4 and 5, May 15, May 23 and 24.

Reports described how a man had followed women along the path, shouting lewd comments towards them and during one incident placed his hands in his trousers.

During another incident it was reported he was seen with two other men.

The man is described as white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, medium build with short blond hair and wearing a sky blue t-shirt, jeans and trainers.

PC Jason Mitchell said:  This man has made many women feel uncomfortable, causing them alarm and distress and to fear for their safety.

We are looking to identify the man responsible and would urge any witnesses to come forward.
