An experienced driving instructor from Corby has been found guilty of causing a crash that left two young girls paralysed.
39 year old Andrew Nay of Harrier Close was driving a Land Rover on the A509 near Little Harrowden last October when he collided with a car that was being driven by the father of the six and eight year olds.
Northampton Crown Court was told Nay had been tailgating at least two vehicles then undertook a car at a junction where the collision happened.
Nay pleaded guilty to causing injury by dangerous driving but denied other aggravating factors preceding the crash, including tailgating and aggressive driving.
However, following a three day Newton Hearing, Judge Adrienne Lucking QC rejected his testimony and ruled he was guilty.
The family has released dashcam footage to highlight the dangers of poor driving.
