A woman has been bitten by a dog in Desborough.

She was in the playing field in Dunkirk Avenue on Monday when she was approached by a man and woman walking two Jack Russells off the lead.

They started to attack her pet but she was bitten on the hand by one of them when she intervened.

One of the Jack Russells was black and white, the other brown and white.

The two people walking them are described as white.

The man had a slim build, was about 6ft, 45-years-old with short, black hair. He was wearing a grey T-shirt and dark jeans.

The woman had an average build, was about 5ft 5in with dark blonde shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a black jacket.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information.
