A man has been jailed for four years for a knifepoint robbery in Peterborough.
37 year old Karl Liebscher, appeared at Crown Court on Friday (July 8).
Liebscher, from Morland Court, Peterborough had previously pleaded guilty to robbery.
The incident happened on May 8 this year at around 8am when Liebscher saw his 29 year old victim using a cash machine close to Tesco petrol station in Werrington.
He followed her and threatened her with a knife, close to Sundance House. The victim tried to run away but tripped and fell, threatening her with the knife Liebscher demanded she hand over the cash and her phone.
The victim refused to give her phone up because it contained sentimental photos but gave him the cash. Liebscher took the cash and ran away.
The victim was left with minor injuries from the fall and shaken by the experience.
Local officers identified Liebscher through CCTV from the scene and he was arrested the following day.
