Figures show crime in rural areas of Northamptonshire was down last year compared to 2014.
Research reveals £500,000 worth of property was taken in the county in 2015 which is a 6% drop.
Farm tools and livestock were the most common items stolen.
In Peterborough and Cambridgeshire last year there was a 28% rise compared to 2014.
Nearly £2,000,000 worth of property was taken in the area in 2015 against £1.5 million the year before.
Oil and diesel,computer equipment and horseboxes were the most common items stolen.
