An investigation has been launched into an alleged armed robbery that took place at a bookmakers in Thrapston on Saturday (July 30).
A man is believed to have entered Corals Bookmakers, in High Street, with what is thought to have been a weapon inside a plastic bag. Threats were allegedly made to staff and money was demanded.
Cash was handed over to the offender and he is thought to have left with another male who was standing outside (believed to be an accomplice).
Both then made their way to the rear of the premises and a vehicle described as a small, dark blue hatchback, departed shortly afterwards, before travelling towards Islip along the High Street.
The suspects are both described as white. One was described as being between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 7ins, slim, aged in his 20s. He wore a grey hooded top, grey bottoms with blue and white trainers, gloves and a face covering. The other male is believed to have been 5ft 8ins and wore grey clothing.
Anyone with information about this incident, which is said to have taken place between 9.21pm and 9.23pm, are asked to ring Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 111 555.
