New academy home on track

Plans for a permanent home for the biggest school in Northamptonshire are well on track.

The Northampton International Academy opened in temporary classrooms at the start of term.

But, the county council says work to convert the former Post Office sorting office in Barrack Road will be ready by next September.

When it’s fully opened, it’ll be the largest school in Northamptonshire with more than 2,000 pupils and students aged from 4 – 19.
