Administrators called in to massive housing scheme

The developers of a major housing scheme in Corby have called in the administrators.

More than 550 homes have been built so far at Prior’s Hall.

Another 1500 plots have also been sold.

Deloitte say they’re continuing to trade while a buyer is found.

This is the statement they have given Connect FM:

Deloitte appointed as administrators to Priors Hall Park – Bela Partnership (“BP”) & Corby Developments (“CD”), together the “Companies” – in Administration

David Soden and Phil Bowers of Deloitte, the business advisory firm, have today been appointed administrators to ‘the Companies’, who manage a 1,000 acre residential site called Priors Hall Park in Corby. Significant progress has been made at the site over the last few years, with 559 homes now built and occupied and over 1500 plots sold.

The administrators are continuing to trade the business while a buyer is sought.

Corby Borough Council is vowing to do all it can to make sure the development continues.

They’ve given us this statement:

Following the recent news regarding the administration of Bela and Corby developments, Leader of Corby Borough Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said:

“It is very welcome news that progress will continue at Priors Hall despite the developers being placed in administration.

Whilst news of the administration is of course disappointing, the Council will work hard with all parties involved to ensure further progress on site and ultimately the successful completion of the development.

Priors Hall remains an important part of the Borough’s regeneration and growth, and we are confident about its future.”
