A multi-agency investigation continues today at Carlsberg in Northampton town centre which was the site of an ammonia leak yesterday (Wednesday, 9 November).
A report has been prepared for the coroner in relation to the death of a man in his forties. Formal identification and a post mortem are yet to take place.
A 51-year-old man who was taken to hospital remains in a serious but stable condition.
Emergency services personnel and staff from Carlsberg who were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure have now been discharged.
The factory remains cordoned off and officers are on scene.
The emergency services do not believe there to be any danger to the wider public.
A joint Police and Health and Safety Executive investigation is likely to continue over the coming weeks.
