Alarming numbers of trafficked & unaccompanied children going missing

A new report claims the East of England which includes Peterborough has the highest number of trafficked and unaccompanied children going missing in the UK.

The study – by the children’s rights charity ECPAT – shows more than 200 of those who disappeared in the year to last September still haven’t been found.

Meanwhile Northamptonshire has the second highest number of children who were the victims of trafficking in the country.

The county is second only to Thurrock in Essex.
