The extension marks the first redevelopment of the centre since Serpentine Green was built in 1998 and will see 100 new jobs created for the local economy.

The three new retail units will be situated at the front of the centre, facing a brand new public space that is due for completion in summer 2017 incuding a pedestrian square and cycle parking which will be linked to a cycle route through the car park.

M&S Simply Food will be opening in one of these units, as well as the existing Next store moving into a larger unit in the new build.

The new retailers are due to be introduced in time for Christmas 2017.

Over the coming year, parts of the car park will be re-routed to allow the works to take place. Some adjustments to the car park layout will be made, however disruption will be kept to a minimum where possible.
