Officers have launched Operation Lapland in response to anti-social behaviour and retail crime.
The operation, which launched on 1 December, will see increased visibility of officers around Corby town centre and Phoenix Parkway and is expected to run until the New Year.
There will be a community partnership shop in the New Post Office Square, where a range of partners will provide support and information. The Emergency Service Cadets will also be supporting the evening and weekend patrols.
Sergeant Jon Hodgson, from the Corby Safer Community Team, said: “The Operation is about high visibility patrols in those areas that can see an increase in reports of anti-social behaviour and reports of crime. We are looking to ensure that by providing a visible presence it will prevent or deter any incidents. I would ask that people consider their personal safety and that of any personal items perhaps on display in a vehicle or left unattended.
“We are also looking forward to the launch of the Corby Retail Crime Initiative in early December and this will support the operation and enable members to access details of those who are sought in connection with crime, exclusions and other benefits.”
