Save Drayton Centre Campaign to be stepped up

At a meeting held recently of the campaign to save dementia services at the Drayton Centre in Northampton it was agreed the campaign would be stepped up.

Campaigners agreed to:

# challenge why a promised County Council investigation into their serious concerns about the so called “alternative” provision at Turnfurlong had still not reported, after nearly two months have gone by.

# fully support a protest at the next Cabinet meeting of the Council today. The protest has been called by Save Northants Services,  Disabled People Against the Cuts and other organisations to challenge further County Council cuts of over £66 million next year

Concerns about Turnfurlong have been sent to the County Council Director of Adult Social Care Services, Dr. Carolyn Kus, but nothing had been heard from her to date.
