Corby East Midlands International Pool is proud to be the venue of choice again for Northampton Swimming Club’s annual Summer Festival open meet to be held on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July 2017.
This exciting swimming event provides an opportunity for local swimmers in Northamptonshire to compete in a long course pool before the end of the swimming season and is proving, once again, to be a popular event in the swimming calendar.
Northampton Swimming Club’s Paralympic Champion, Ellie Robinson, has previously competed at this event before going on to compete on the world stage at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016, where she won Gold and a Bronze medal.
Due to the competition there will be no public swimming, swimming/diving lessons or supervised diving on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July. The Gym, Studio, Health Suite and Cafe will remain open as normal throughout the weekend.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Corby Borough Council’s Lead Member for Community, Cllr John McGhee, said:
‘We are very proud that our facility is hosting the Summer Festival open meet. Already we have seen amazing talent like Ellie Robinson compete in our waters at such events and we are excited to see who will shine this year.
‘We hope that all competitors and spectators enjoy their time here in Corby’.
