Rural crime figures released

Rural crimes in Northamptonshire cost the county more than half a million pounds last year.

Research from the National Farmer’s Union has revealed that tools, ATVs and quad bikes top thieves’ wish-lists.

The total number of incidents locally are up – despite a drop nationally.

Meanwhile in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire there were fewer cases.

The total cost in 2016 was around one-point-six million pounds – a fallĀ of seven percent.
