Future development of city to be discussed

Plans to develop property and employment opportunities in Peterborough are set to be discussed by the City Council today.

Targets were set to build more than twenty-seven thousand homes between 2011 and 2036 – as well as creating seventy-six hectares of land.

Committees will review proposals before the full Cabinet debates progress on the 25th of September – if approved, a consultation would take place before Christmas.

The Proposed Submission Local Plan being considered by councillors can be viewed on the council’s website, as part of the agenda papers for the forthcoming Planning and Environmental Protection Committee meeting – http://democracy.peterborough.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=117&MId=4038&Ver=4
